Scaling properties of the irreversible magnetization curves of high-temperature superconductors.

چکیده
A one-parameter scaling of the magnetization curves of the high-temperature superconductor Tl-Ba-Ca-Cu-0 causes all data points in the irreversible regime to collapse into a single curve M H f~ (H/H*). The scaling field H* is inversely proportional to temperature and f+ and f are th—e scaling functions for fields H above and below H*, respectively. The results are explained in terms of the Bean model. We argue that these features are common to all type-II su-

Scaling of the Equilibrium Magnetization in the Mixed State of Type-II Superconductors
We discuss the analysis of mixed-state magnetization data of type-II superconductors using a recently developed scaling procedure. It is based on the fact that, if the Ginzburg-Landau parameter κ does not depend on temperature, the magnetic susceptibility χ(H,T ) is a universal function of H/Hc2(T ), leading to a simple relation between magnetizations at different temperatures. Although this sc...
متن کاملMagnetic Properties of HTSC with a Weak Interlayer Coupling
Magnetic properties of layered high temperature superconductors with a weak interlayer coupling in the region of the critical fluctuations are investigated in the framework of the Ginzburg–Landau approach. The sample magnetization is calculated within a perturbative approach to the second order in the interlayer coupling constant. The first order correction can be incorporated into the non-inte...

A Hartree approximation is used to study the interplay of two kinds of scaling which arise in high-temperature superconductors, namely critical-point scaling and that due to the confinement of electron pairs to their lowest Landau level in the presence of an applied magnetic field. In the neighbourhood of the zero-field critical point, thermodynamic functions scale with the scaling variable (T ...
متن کاملhigh-Tc superconductors from isothermal magnetization data. Influence of a temperature dependent Ginzburg-Landau parameter
We show that the scaling procedure, recently proposed for the evaluation of the temperature variation of the normalized upper critical field of type-II superconductors, may easily be modified in order to take into account a possible temperature dependence of the Ginzburg-Landau parameter κ. As an example we consider κ(T ) as it follows from the microscopic theory of superconductivity.

Theoretical computation of the pressure dependence superconducting state parameters of binary Ca60Al40 is reported using model potential formalism. Explicit expressions have been derived for the volume dependence of the electron–phonon coupling strength λ and the Coulomb pseudopotential μ* considering the variation of Fermi momentum KF and Debye temperature ӨD with volume. Well known Ashcroft’s...
